My new book, Lessons from the Birds, combines my photographs of birds with text I created to accompany each photograph. This is the first time I have incorporated text into my artwork and I enjoyed finding both the right words to say and the right font and colors with which to say them. The introduction to the book explains the story behind it:

I never intended to make a book like this, but the birds in my photographs seemed to insist I listen to them. Once I settled down and did what they wanted, they taught me some wonderful lessons. I hope you too are able to learn from and enjoy these wise and beautiful creatures.
