More art: MANDALAS

The word mandala comes from Sanskrit meaning "circle." Found in cultures and religions around the world and cherished for their beauty and contemplative nature, they can symbolize unity, harmony, beginnings, the universe, life journeys, and more. My mandalas begin with photographs of nature from which I select a portion and then twist, turn and colorize until I am satisfied with it.
